COVID-19

COVID-19 Update

Dear Midtown Pediatrics families,

Thank you for your patience and understanding, as we have done our best to provide the highest quality care for our patients while keeping children, parents, and, staff as safe as possible.

With the loosening of restrictions and decline of the Omicron variant wave, we have made some new changes to our office protocols that we are excited to share with you.

  1. In accordance with the most recent Ministry of Health guidelines, we are now doing almost exclusively in person visits.
  2. While virtual visits are still appropriate for some encounters, for now, if our staff is offering you an in person visit, it is because your doctor feels that she can provide better care in person.
  3. In our continued effort to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible, we are now booking any children with potentially infectious symptoms at the end of the dayWe will no longer be offering check-ups after 3 PM in the afternoon.
  4. If your child is scheduled for a check-up and has COVID symptoms, please let our staff know.  We will either reschedule your appointment to another day, or to the afternoon after 3 PM.

We continue to follow all public health guidelines, including masking, social distancing, and hand hygiene.  Masks are still required in the clinic for everyone over 2 years of age.

Finally, COVID-19 vaccine is still our best defense against severe infection.  We encourage all our families to get vaccinated and boosted when eligible.

Of course, we have all learned that that pandemic circumstances are constantly evolving.  We continue to monitor the situation closely and will pivot as needed.  Office protocols can change at any time without notice.

As always, we are here if you have any questions or concerns, and we look forward to seeing you back in person.
